Lower Mainland District RCMP: The coroners inquest into the sudden death-police involved shooting of Daniel Anthony KING continued for the second day.

Submitted as evidence today was the video surveillance tape obtained by Air I during this incident. The video tape was obtained while the suspect Daniel KING was being followed by Air 1 and attempting to evade police.

The video shows the erratic and dangerous driving of KING in his efforts to evade police. Officers were attempting to stop what was believed to be a stolen vehicle.

When suspect KING eventually comes to a stop at a gas station in Burnaby at Canada Way and Edmonds officers are seen to be attempting to secure his arrest in the interest of public and officer safety. Officers are gain entry to the vehicle while it was stationary by breaking the drivers window. It is at this point that suspect KING points what is believed to be a black handgun at the officers standing at the drivers door.

In the interest of officer and public safety the two officers standing at the drivers door used deadly force in an effort to subdue KING.
