Shaun Richard Funk remains one of BC's most wanted men, after Canada Wide Warrants for his arrest were issued on Friday, November 6th, 2009.  These warrants stem from extensive investigations into two separate incidents in Squamish and Ladysmith, BC.  The Squamish incident occurred on August 28th, 2009, where a 39 year old woman was held against her will, sexually assaulted in Squamish, and then transported to Burnaby and sexually assaulted again. The Ladysmith incident occurred on September 26th, 2009, where a woman in her 50's was sexually assaulted by a man who broke in to her home.

Yesterday, November 17th, 2009, RCMP Investigators on Vancouver Island received information which raised the possibility that Shaun Funk may now be in Regina, Saskatchewan.  This information was immediately passed on to the Regina Police Service.  The Regina Police Service released a media advisory at 6:00 pm last night, to advise the public of this new information.

"Investigators are always conscious of the fact that the people we pursue will listen to radio reports, read newspapers, and watch tv newscasts.  For that reason, we will not be releasing details of why we believe FUNK may be in Regina", states Cpl. Darren Lagan of the Vancouver Island RCMP.  Since being identified as our primary suspect, we have worked hard to track and locate him.  Those efforts are paying off, and we believe it is only a matter of time before he is in police custody."

35 year old Shaun Rich Funk is wanted Canada Wide for sexual assault, robbery, break and enter, and kidnapping. If you see him, call your local police immediatelyRCMP and Regina Police Service Investigators continue to work closely with one another.  Both police forces are requesting the public's continued support in locating Shaun Funk.
