The British Columbia Integrated Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) will be hosting a news conference to provide information on results of a recent large project involving child sexual exploitation/abuse.

Location: RCMP Headquarters - 5255 Heather Street, Vancouver BC (Media Room)

Due to the sensitive nature of the project, no further information will be released prior to the news conference.

Background information on ICE:

The British Columbia Integrated Child Exploitation Team (ICE) is responsible for coordinating and investigating internet based exploitation of children. The investigator’s role encompasses investigations pertaining to accessing, possession, importation, exportation, production and distribution of child pornography, as well as child luring and sex tourism investigations. ICE is an operational support unit for law enforcement agencies within British Columbia that have a need for investigational support and subject matter expertise pertaining to internet based child exploitation related crimes and the offenders who perpetrate those crimes. Due to the nature of these crimes, ICE regularly receives requests for assistance nationally and internationally.
