On the 11th day of February 2008 at 12:09 p.m., the Salmon Arm RCMP responded to a report of a robbery which had just occurred at the TD Canada Trust located in the 300 block of Alexander Street N.E., Salmon Arm. An unknown male suspect entered the bank, walked up to a teller and produced a note indicating he had a gun and that he wanted cash. No weapon was produced during the incident. The bank teller provided the suspect with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency and then fled the scene. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as Caucasian male, medium complexion, with a a dark moustache that appeared to come past his top lip, early to mid-'30's, 5'7" to 5'11" in height and appeared to be of medium build, but may have intentionally been wearing extra layers of clothing. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a blue scarf, a dark coloured touque, dark pants, and full-fingered gloves in poor shape.
This is the second robbery at the TD Canada Trust bank in the past two weeks, the last occurring on January 28, 2008; however, bank security camera video reveal that the two suspects are not one in the same. A photograph of the suspect will be posted on the British Columbia RCMP Media Website.
