100 Mile House, BC

On Tuesday December 15, 2009 at approximately 11:53 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP were called to the scene of a two vehicle collision near 94 Mile on Highway 97 just south of the Town of 100 Mile House.

A blue four door compact car was traveling north bound at that location and collided with a south bound unloaded logging truck. The driver and three passengers of the compact car suffered serious injuries and were transported by BC Ambulance to 100 Mile House Hospital. At least one passenger has since been transfered to Kamloops. The logging truck driver was uninjured.

Preliminary Investigation revealed the north bound car crossed into the south bound lane. Speed is believed to be a factor. The logging truck driver made evasive maneuvers to try to avoid the collision.

The Investigation into the collision continues. The RCMP request any persons that may have witnessed this collison or have information that may help the investigation, contact the 100 Mile House RCMP at (250) 395-2456 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
