Chilliwack BC: On Monday November 2nd, 2009 at approximately 4:30 p.m. the Chilliwack RCMP were advised of a bear spray incident that had occurred at a residence in the 46200 block of Reece Avenue in Chilliwack. Two males knocked on the door to the residence involved stating they had been assaulted and asked for the resident to call police. Before the resident was able to place the call as requested, she was bear sprayed by one of the males. The female victim, age 35, was able to close and lock her front door and the males did not gain entry into the residence. The males then fled the area in an unknown direction.

Police responded immediately, and conducted extensive patrols in the area and were not able to locate the suspects involved. At this time there is no clear motivation for this incident and the police are now seeking information from the public to help solve this crime.

Police have conducted neighbourhood inquiries, and spoken to several people in the area, but have not been able to identify the suspects responsible for this incident.

One suspect was described as a Caucasian male, in his early twenties, approximately 5'7"- 5'9" in height, with a medium build. He was wearing a black toque, dark hooded sweater with a light shirt underneath, and dark pants at the time of the incident.

The second suspect was described as a Caucasian male, approximately 19 or 20 yrs old, 5'7"-5'9" in height, with a medium build, who was clean cut with dark spiky hair.
