Due to the fact that some media have located the general area of the recovered vehicle, investigators now confirm that the vehicle was located approximately 30 kilometers east of Edson near Carrot Creek. Investigators continue to process the scene and the vehicle, which includes the forensic examinations.

Investigators still want to hear from anyone who may have seen the light green 2006 Hyundai Tucson license plate number ZPK 289, in the period from July 5th to 16th, 2010. Anyone with information is asked to call Edson Detachment at 780-723-8800, St. Albert Detachment at 780-458-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Note: Attached is a police aerial photograph of the vehicle found at the noted scene.

No further news releases will be done until the exam of the vehicle and the scene are complete.
